XPKGTOOL is a GUI front-end for pkgtools - the Slackware Linux package manager.
It's designed to allow users to perform the common package maintenance operations,
such install, remove and upgrade packages with ease, in a nice X-based user interface.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Version 0.0.9a1 is a fixup release that affects only the built-in SlackGrade
utility, fixing a problem experienced by some users that freeze and/or gives an
"Unable to load server settings" message when running Slackware10 with updated
kernel-2.4.27 and glibc-2.3.2/2.3.3
XPKGTOOL itself was not changed in this urgent release to avoid interferences
with the current (unreleased) development tree. However, CVS was updated with this fix.
Since version 0.0.8a, XPKGTOOL comes with a built-in update manager, called SlackGrade,
that helps you to keep your Slackware up to date, upgrading the system with the latest
packages available in the current Slackware distribution tree on the web.
However, if you want, SlackGrade is available also as a stand-alone utility.
